Case Study
Broadway Terrace
Marin County, California · MMXXV
A quiet dining room in the Marin hills wrapped in a single continuous scene — birds, blossom and rising mist — painted by hand in London and installed as one uninterrupted room.
The Room
A note on how it came together.
The client had lived with the room white for eleven years. When she was ready to change it, she wanted the change to be complete — one gesture, not decoration added over time.
We measured the room three times, drafted the elevations to the millimetre, and sent them to de Gournay's studio in London. Every panel was painted for its exact wall, its exact seam, its exact horizon line. Nothing was cut to fit on site.
Installation took nine days. The panels went up in one continuous run, corner to corner, with the horizon aligned across every wall break. From the doorway, the room reads as one painting.
