The Room · N° 01
The bedroom rewards restraint. Textured neutrals — grasscloth, silk, hand-brushed damasks — soften light and slow the room down. We favour materials that hold the hand as much as the eye.

Considerations
What to think through
before you choose.
- i.1
Behind the bed, or the whole room?
A single accent wall behind the bed shows off large-scale pattern without overwhelming. Full-perimeter installation is best with quieter textures — grasscloth, silk, tone-on-tone damask.
- i.2
Light through the day
Bedrooms often receive raking morning or evening light. Ask us to hold a sample against the actual wall at the two times of day the room is used most.
- i.3
Repair over time
In rooms with headboards, mirrors and side tables, we recommend materials that spot-repair cleanly. We keep dye-lot notes on file for every project.
- i.4
Above the bed
For rooms with tall ceilings, a hand-painted botanical or a soft mural can turn the wall into a horizon. Best installed by a two-person crew for pattern registration.
