How to Measure Your Walls for Wallpaper

Precision matters — but to get started, we don't need perfect measurements. We simply need clear, approximate dimensions so we can guide you, recommend the right materials, and prepare an initial estimate.

Final measurements and material calculations are always handled by our team once your wallpaper is selected.

What to Measure

Please provide the width of each wall individually:

  • Wall 1: ___ inches wide
  • Wall 2: ___ inches wide
  • Wall 3: ___ inches wide
  • Wall 4: ___ inches wide (if applicable)
  • Wall height: floor to ceiling (or from wainscot to ceiling)

You may use a tape measure or your iPhone's Measure app for a quick reference.

Keep It Simple

  • Do not subtract doors, windows, or openings
  • Include all wall sections where wallpaper will be installed
  • Round measurements to the nearest inch
  • Note any special areas (ceilings, soffits, niches, or built-ins)

Why This Is Different

Wallpaper is not calculated like paint. Material quantities depend on pattern repeat, layout direction, wall breaks and terminations, and installation method. This is why square footage alone is not reliable. Your measurements let us evaluate the project correctly before moving forward.

What Happens Next

  • We confirm all field measurements
  • We calculate exact material quantities based on drops
  • We finalize layout and installation planning
  • We schedule your project with precision

This ensures a clean, efficient installation with no surprises.
